Somerset Children and Young People's Plan: 2012-13

The Children and Young People's Plan is a multi-agency strategic document setting out the core objectives of Somerset Children's Trust for the coming year.

The overarching objective for all agencies working with children and young people in the county is to enable every child and young person to achieve their full potential.

To achieve this, we continue to focus our joint efforts on achieving the following outcomes, carried forward from Somerset's 2011-12 Children and Young People's Plan:

A - Raising Achievement and Aspirations

B - Keeping Children Safe

C - Narrowing the Gaps

These aims are underpinned by a number of priorities and key activities, and have been informed by an analysis of need and a review of our strengths, achievements and areas requiring further improvement.
