The School Improvement Service, formerly the Education Development Service (EDS) is part of SCC's Directorate for Children and Young People. It is a division of the Schools and Achievement Service.
School Improvement Service is made up of teams of Advisers and Consultants who cover the full range from Early Years to 19, Equalities & Diversity, Governor Services and the Business and Administration Teams.
School Improvement Service is a universal service with a clear focus on championing learning and ongoing educational improvement for all young people.
Our purpose is to help make Somerset an excellent place to learn for all young people.
