We are the Children and Young People's Directorate music service offering: 

- A range of instrumental and vocal training and performance opportunities to the young people of the County  

- Support, advice on and, where required, delivery of the National Curriculum for Music  

-  Low-cost instrument hire of beginner instruments for Somerset Music pupils 

This, plus the current ‘Wider Opportunities’ initiative, means that Somerset Music is well placed to make a significant contribution to the Every Child Matters agenda and to work effectively within localities teams.
