email: Limited access to an NT system? Limited access to Outlook? It is possible to forward your email from Outlook to an alternative
email address such as a home mailbox. Downloadable instructions to set this
up are available on the‘Further help'tab off the 'Download Help' section. RM EasyMail Plus The EasyMail Plus pupil email system for your school is now available. Primary Schools who have bought into Blue Book ‘Teaching
& Learning’ service will have their accounts set up automatically from County
Hall. All other schools
should follow the steps on pages 20 to 56 of the manual which was distributed
to all schools and included a letter with the ID and
password required to manage the system.
Management
such as changing the default passwords is controlled through logging on to https://admin.easymail.rmplc.co.uk/ Secondary and Middle:schools will need to create a .csv file
for their individual pupil accounts. Instructions for extracting pupil names
from the SIMS STAR records have been sent to schools. A facility for generating
random passwords has been set up at:http://lea-www.somerset.gov.uk/ngfl/passwords/pwdgen.asp The
default is to generate fifty, eight character passwords but using the following
format for the address can change this to suit individual school needs. http://lea-www.somerset.gov.uk/ngfl/passwords/pwdgen.asp?num=10&len=5 Where
“num” is the number of passwords to be generated and “len” is the number of
characters in the password. It is recommended that passwords should be eight

the RM Easymail Plus system Log on to http://mail.xxxxxxxxx.somerset.sch.uk (you can set this
up as a 'Favourite')
Where xxxxxxxxx is the school name part of your school's nominet domain name.
If you are unsure as to what this schoolname is, go to: http://schools.somerset.gov.uk
and look for your school's website address in the list displayed.
Once you reach the log-on page, the person wishing to log on uses the username
