RM EasyMail Plus
The EasyMail Plus pupil email system for your school is now available.
Primary Schools who have bought into Blue Book ‘Teaching & Learning’ service will have their accounts set up automatically from County Hall.
All other schools should follow the steps on pages 20 to 56 of the manual which was distributed to all schools and included a letter with the ID and password required to manage the system.
Management such as changing the default passwords is controlled through logging on to https://admin.easymail.rmplc.co.uk/
Secondary and Middle: schools will need to create a .csv file for their individual pupil accounts. Instructions for extracting pupil names from the SIMS STAR records have been sent to schools. A facility for generating random passwords has been set up at: http://lea-www.somerset.gov.uk/ngfl/passwords/pwdgen.asp
The default is to generate fifty, eight character passwords but using the following format for the address can change this to suit individual school needs. http://lea-www.somerset.gov.uk/ngfl/passwords/pwdgen.asp?num=10&len=5
Where “num” is the number of passwords to be generated and “len” is the number of characters in the password. It is recommended that passwords should be eight characters in length.
To download a copy of the manual click on the icon (Word) Download Easymail Manual. Warning: download time will be lengthy (63pages)
